Dan's Essential Question
Since the events of Sep. 11, 2001, even more tension than that which was already present developed between many Muslims and the USA which leads to the question, are all Muslims taught to hate western culture and more specifically the USA, or is this radical Muslims trying to speak for all of their religion?

A very good and worthwhile question. It brings up the question how different American Muslims are from Middle-Eastern Muslims in the way they practice their religion.
Muslums in the US are angered by the radicals who give Islam a bad name and picture. When I talked to the muslums at the ISB they said that the radicals twist the religion and make up their own beliefs to go along with it.
I think that there parents have some influence on what they think, but over all they should think on their own.
I strongly believe that it is mainly radicalist Muslims who are sending a negative message for the whole religion and region and these peoples are likley to pass down their beliefs to their children. Like father like son.
